At Ayers Automotive, we recommend that you service your vehicle every 10,000km or six months, whichever comes first. 

We suggest you read our page on "Oil Change" which gives more detailed information on how frequently your oil should be changed based on your driving habits so as to preserve the life of your engine.

What does a 10,000km service include? 
What does a  40,000km major service include?.


Every 10,000km:

    Old oil removed, new oil added
     All oil levels checked
     Parts greased 
     Oil filter replaced
     Cooling system and coolant checked
     Hoses, clamps, belts checked and replaced as needed
     Check exhaust system, suspension and steering is secure
     Check front and rear brakes and brake fluid
     Lubricate and inspect transmission linkages
     Check drive train components
     Check and adjust tyre pressures
     Check air and fuel filters and replace as needed
     Check and replace spark plugs and high tension leads
     Check and re-set ignition timing, idle speed and idle mixture
     Attach Autologic Engine analyser and check operation of all engine systems. 
     Check operation of all lights and electrical components
     General safety inspection and report

This takes between 2 and 3 hours to complete depending on what is found.   


 Every 40,000km:

     Change all oils and fluids including both differentials, gearbox, transfer box, f ront swivel hubs
     Clean and replace all filters
     All oil levels checked
     Parts greased as needed
     Cooling system and coolant checked
     Condition of hose, clamps, belts checked and replaced as needed
     Check exhaust system, suspension and steering secure
     Check condition of front and rear brakes
     Flush braking system
     Change brake fluid
     Check clutch operation
     Lubricate and inspect transmission linkages
     Check drive train components
     Check and adjust tyre pressures
     Check air and fuel filters and replace as necessary
     Check spark plugs and high tension leads and replace if needed
     Check and re-set ignitiontiming, idle speed and idle mixture
     Attach Autologic Engine analyser to check operation of all engine systems 
     and report as necessary
     Check operation of all lights and electrical components
     Road test and report

The major service generally takes 4 - 5 hours.
